The first live-action feature film to be shot entirely in digital 3-D, "Journey to the Center of the Earth" utilizes cutting-edge technology to immerse audiences in a new dimension of movie-going. I liked this movie. I went to Pacific Theater in Bakersfield. (By the Mall) I was disappointed because they were not offering the movie in 3-D. I didn't know that other theaters were offering it in 3-D or else I would have seen it somewhere else. I feel ripped off because I spent a lot of money and didn't get the full effects the movie had to offer. I look forward to watching it again in 3-D. I like all the thrills and adventure the movie had. If you like adventure and a movie that will keep you holding on to your seets you will love this movie. I can't wait to see it again in 3-D.
Pros: adventure, cool 3-D
Cons: finding a theater that will offer 3-D effects

My ten year old daughter and I enjoyed this movie! We both laughed, screamed and tossed our popcorn a few times as we jumped in fear. The 3-D effect was super fun! Fortunately my husband did not go with us, because he would have had too many items to pick apart. A few small inconsistencies, factual errors, and several "that couldn't really happen" moments. If you are like him then you will not like this film. If you are the type of viewer (like me) who just wants to forget about whats real or not real for a little while and have a good time this is for you. *We were not charged for our 3-D glasses, but I've heard that some theaters make you pay extra. If it makes a difference to anyone these are decent quality plastic glasses that fit nicely over my regular eyeglasses, not the flimsy cardboard type that are annoying to wear.
Pros: 3-D effect and lots of action
