Dear Unfortuate We understand that we aren't the right studio for everyone out there, but it still saddens us to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with Village Studios. In retrospect perhaps we should have passed on your last minute call for portraits, but we have a soft spot for pregnant Moms. Having time to do a proper consultation does help and give clients time to review all of our pricing and policies before their session. While I will admit that we are a business so we do have to charge for our services, we have always been open about our pricing. In a perfect world we could simply create art for the fun of it, but until then we will keep with the pricing and policies that have made us a favorite studio for generations. I understand that you want to have images up as soon as possible, however upon printing your images we did notice a little extra retouching to the tummy would look so much better. We did offer this option at $10 to cover the time to do the artwork not as an upsale, but as a choice that would allow your wife to look her very best. It is our goal at Village Studios to have an image that you love 10 years from now as much as the day it was created, sometimes we notice little things that will help along the way. It's unfortunate, but the service was not on par with their previous work we've seen from friends and family. First, we had some concerns with the initial sitting but we were able to overlook them. Second, we were never informed there was an additional charge for retouching photos. Third, we were told this was a “small” order and never informed of the timeframe in which the photos were to be completed. My wife had a maternity sitting on the 26th of June. Our son is now six weeks old and they just called us on the 26th of August to review the images online and up sell retouching (after we had already chosen and paid for our selected photos one month ago) In my opinion and experience, a professional photographer should deliver an end product they are completely proud of and should not have to up sell retouching. People pay for professionalism and quality work. Unfortunately, neither was realized and it feels as if Village Studio has greater interest in making money rather than making memories. We hope to see better work from you in the future if our friends and family choose to use your services.

John is one the most talented people I've ever had the pleasure to know. John did our wedding and we couldn't have loved the results more.
